I'm a researcher at Brandeis University in the Boston area. My work explores the dynamics of epigenetic states at the single-cell level — blending molecular biology with computational modeling. I build computational models to gain deeper understanding of the processes that drive chromatin folding and gene regulation.

From modeling chromatin to collective behavior in active matter, I'm fascinated by the physics of biological systems.

I'd love to connect with people who can challenge me with new ways of thinking. If you're interested in theoretical models of how epigenetic patterns allow DNA to artfully change its expression, have a look at Painters in chromatin — or, if you prefer a short talk, here is a video.

To explore one of my latest projects, see the epigenetic oscillator, joint work with Jane Kondev and Kaushik Ragunathan.
